October 15 : 8hr Live bait Wahooooooo

### Captain's Log: October 15th – Maiden Voyage Adventure on the 27’ Onslow Bay

On October 15th, I set off on an exhilarating 8-hour live bait trip aboard the brand-new 27’ Onslow Bay. The day started with rough weather and choppy waves, but my clients were undeterred and excited for the adventure ahead. With fresh menhaden ready for bait, we were all eager to see what the ocean had in store for us!

#### Setting Off

As my clients boarded the boat, there was a palpable buzz of excitement, despite the rough conditions. After a quick briefing on safety and the day’s plan, we loaded up with gear and fresh menhaden, then set off into the open water. The Onslow Bay handled the waves beautifully, cutting through the chop as we made our way to our first fishing spot.

#### A Good Luck Lunch: Venison Hotdogs

After navigating through the rough waters, we decided to take a short break and enjoy a lunch of venison hotdogs. It was a fun and hearty meal, and we all shared stories and laughs as we ate. The hotdogs seemed to bring us good luck, and spirits were high as we prepared to get back to fishing.

#### The Big Bite: Hooking the Wahoo

After a successful run with the bluefish, we decided to change tactics and target larger game. I rigged a rod with live bluefish and sent it out for something big. Suddenly, one of the rods bent dramatically, and the reel screamed as line peeled off at an alarming rate!

One of my clients jumped up, adrenaline pumping, and shouted, “This feels huge!” The excitement onboard was electric as we gathered around to witness the battle. The fish made explosive runs, and the fight was intense, but after a thrilling struggle, we brought alongside a magnificent 80-pound wahoo. The cheers erupted, and we quickly captured the moment with photos, celebrating this incredible catch before releasing it back into the ocean.

#### Wrapping Up the Day

As our 8-hour adventure came to a close, we made our way back to the marina, the waves calming as the sun began to set in a brilliant display of colors. My clients left with smiles on their faces, a cooler filled with bluefish, and memories of a thrilling day aboard the new Onslow Bay.

Reflecting on the maiden voyage, I felt grateful for the opportunity to share such an incredible experience with my clients. Despite the rough start, the combination of good company, delicious venison hotdogs, and thrilling catches made for a fantastic day on the water.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing experience, I invite you to join me aboard the 27’ Onslow Bay. You never know what kind of excitement awaits just beyond the horizon! 🎣🌊✨
