July 30th : 4hr Inshore

### Captain's Log: July 30th – Fun Inshore with Redfish Galore!

July 30th greeted us with beautiful weather, making it the perfect day for a four-hour inshore fishing trip. The sun was shining, and the waters of Morehead City were calm and inviting. I was excited to welcome my clients aboard for a fun day of fishing, particularly with the promise of plenty of redfish!

#### Setting Off

As my clients boarded the boat, their enthusiasm was infectious. After a warm welcome and a brief overview of our plan, we loaded up with gear and live bait, ready to set sail. The energy onboard was high, and I could tell everyone was eager to cast their lines and see what we could reel in.

#### First Stop: Redfish Paradise

We headed to a well-known spot that’s famous for its abundant redfish. After explaining the best techniques for targeting these feisty fish, I demonstrated how to properly cast and retrieve the bait. Everyone was eager to get started, and I could see the anticipation building as we dropped our lines into the water.

It didn’t take long for the action to begin! Almost immediately, one of my clients felt a strong tug on their line. They set the hook and began to reel in, and soon we had our first redfish of the day onboard. The cheers and excitement were contagious, and we snapped a quick photo to commemorate the catch.

#### A Redfish Frenzy

What followed was a fantastic redfish frenzy! One by one, each client started hooking into fish. The bites kept coming, and the boat was alive with laughter and excitement as we reeled in redfish after redfish. The camaraderie among the group was a joy to witness, with everyone cheering each other on and sharing tips along the way.

We took a few moments to capture the highlights with photos as we filled our cooler with these beautiful fish. Each catch brought smiles and stories, and it was clear that everyone was having a blast.

#### Keeping the Momentum

As we moved to different spots, the redfish continued to cooperate. It felt like every cast resulted in a bite, and I was thrilled to see my clients so engaged and excited about their catches. I shared tips and tricks throughout the trip, helping them refine their techniques and maximize their success.

#### The Final Stretch

With a little time left in our trip, we made our way back to a spot that had produced well earlier. The bites kept coming, and we managed to land even more redfish in our final hour. The excitement was palpable, and it felt like the perfect way to wrap up a fantastic day.

As we cruised back to the marina, the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the water. My clients left with smiles on their faces, a cooler full of redfish, and memories that would last a lifetime.

Reflecting on the day, I felt grateful for the opportunity to share such a fun and exciting experience with my clients. Days like this remind me of the joy of fishing—not just the thrill of the catch, but the connections made and the laughter shared.
