July 13th: 4hr Inshore

### Captain's Log: July 13th Inshore Adventure

On July 13th, the skies were bright and clear as I prepared for another exciting four-hour inshore fishing trip in Morehead City. I certainly won’t forget the incredible day we had on the water—especially the impressive haul of red drum!

#### Setting Off

As my clients boarded the boat, their enthusiasm was evident. After a brief introduction and a rundown of our fishing plan, we loaded up the gear and set off into the calm waters. The air was filled with anticipation, and I could tell everyone was eager to reel in some fish.

#### First Stop: Red Drum Hotspot

We headed toward a well-known area abundant with red drum, a favorite among anglers for their spirited fights and delicious taste. Once we arrived, I shared some tips on how to effectively use the bait and the best techniques for hooking these feisty fish.

As soon as we dropped our lines, it felt like we had struck gold! Almost immediately, the first rod bent under the weight of a fish. The excitement on the boat was palpable as my clients jumped into action. One after another, we started reeling in red drum, each catch met with cheers and high-fives. It was a flurry of activity, and I could hardly keep up with the action!

#### A Red Drum Bonanza

Throughout our four-hour trip, we found ourselves in a red drum frenzy. It was a continuous cycle of casting lines, feeling the tug, and reeling in. Each fish was a little different—some bigger than others—but they all brought the same thrill and excitement. The laughter, shouts of joy, and camaraderie among my clients created an atmosphere that was unforgettable.

We paused occasionally to take photos, capturing the smiles and the beautiful fish. It was clear that everyone was having the time of their lives, and it was rewarding for me to witness such joy in my clients.

#### A Quick Break

After a solid hour of nonstop action, we decided to take a moment to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We shared some snacks and drinks, soaking in the sun and chatting about our favorite fishing experiences. It was a perfect way to bond and recharge before heading back to the fishing action.

#### The Final Hour

With our cooler filling up and spirits high, we returned to the action for one last push. The bites continued, and we managed to land even more red drum in our final hour. It was hard to believe the incredible success we had experienced that day.

Reflecting on the day, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to share the thrill of fishing with such enthusiastic clients. Days like these remind me of the magic of the ocean and the joy of connecting with others through the sport of fishing.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable inshore fishing experience in Morehead City, Cedar Point, or Newport. I’d love for you to join me on the water. You never know what kind of adventure awaits! 🎣🌊✨
