August 27th : 6hr Nearshore- Captains Day

### Captain's Log: August 27th – A Fun Captain’s Day on the Water!

On August 27th, I had the pleasure of enjoying a thrilling six-hour nearshore fishing trip that turned into a fantastic day filled with excitement and laughter. With perfect weather—clear skies and a light breeze—the conditions were just right for a day of fishing.

#### First Stop: Casting for False Albacore

Our first stop was a well-known spot for false albacore, and I could feel the excitement building. Everyone was eager to get involved, and soon we were casting into the water, ready for action.

It wasn’t long before the first rod bent sharply—one had hooked a false albacore! The fish took off like a rocket, and laughter erupted as they fought to bring it alongside the boat. The thrill of the chase and the acrobatics of the albacore made for an exhilarating start to our day. We snapped a quick photo before releasing it back into the wild, and the cheers continued.

#### Moving On: Bottom Fishing for Grouper

After our thrilling albacore action, we decided to switch gears and head to a nearby spot known for grouper. I explained the bottom fishing techniques and the best way to present our bait to attract these tasty fish. We dropped our lines and settled in for some more action.

Before long, the rods began to dance again! The fights with the grouper were strong and spirited, and each catch came with shouts of joy and high-fives. With every fish reeled in, the excitement onboard grew, and we took a moment to celebrate our successful catches, snapping photos and sharing stories.

#### The Big Amberjack Surprise

With grouper in the cooler, I suggested we target amberjack using our live bait. We rigged up and headed to a promising spot. Once we anchored, we dropped our live bait to the depths, hoping for a big amberjack to take the hook.

And then it happened—a rod bent violently as a massive amberjack struck! The energy onboard was electric as my client grabbed the rod and the fight began. Everyone was on the edge of their seats, cheering them on as the amberjack made its powerful runs. After an intense battle, we finally brought the large fish alongside the boat, and the cheers erupted once again! It was a fantastic way to cap off the day.

#### Wrapping Up the Fun

Reflecting on the day, I felt grateful for the opportunity to share such a fun and exciting experience with fellow anglers. It’s days like these that remind me why I love being a captain—bringing people together, creating memories, and enjoying the thrill of fishing.

If you’re looking for a fun and unforgettable nearshore fishing adventure, I invite you to join me. You never know what kind of excitement awaits just beyond the horizon! 🎣🌊✨
